Abstrakt

Saint John of Kronstadt was a defender of the poor, a charismatic preacher, and a man of prayer. A conversation with God played a large part in his life when he was a child. People from his own village asked the boy about helpful prayers.When he was carrying out his priestly duties miracles of healings were performed countless times through his prayers. The Priest encouraged the faithful to conversation with Creator. The Preacher believed it was a source of strength, life, and salvation, the best feed for body and soul. This article is based on extracts from the diary of St John of Kronstadt My Life in Christ and it is an attempt to show the role of prayer in Christian life.
