As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.


The articles should not exceed 60000 characters including spaces, review articles 40000. Please, prepare your text for submission according to the following guidelines:

  1. Use Word format, font Times New Roman, font size 12, and leading 1.5.
  2. For article title and subheadings use lowercase. Do not use capitals.
  3. Work titles should be italicized.
  4. For other highlighting, use spacing. Do not use bold fonts.
  5. Use double quotes for in-text citation. Indent quotations longer than two lines and use smaller font size.
  6. For references use footnotes (tamże).
  7. For comments by the author use square brackets (e.g. [podkr. - X.Y.], [...], [p. 5]).
  8. Bibliography entries should be given as follows. Use commas, Arabic numbers for volume identification, sections, and publication dates for newspaper articles. Access dates should be given in square brackets.

  10. When quoting for the second time, the author’s name should be given together with the title of the text and page number. Do not use ‘op.cit’.

  12. Please, include an abstract in Polish and English, no longer than 1000 characters with spaces.
  13. Include between 5 and 6 keywords.
  14. Bibliography should contain full names of authors, publisher names, page numbers for journals and collective works, as follows:

  19. Include a biographical note about the author of about 500 characters with spaces.
