Some remarks on the so called PRL’s lexis

Abstract

The article presents selected problems connected with excerpting and describing the PRL’s lexis (PRL – Polish People’s Republic). On the basis of the collected linguistic material from the epoch, partial usefulness of a lexicographic criterion has been shown. This, in turn, entails the necessity to apply other methods to collect and describe the lexis called as “PRL’s speech”. This issue has not been the subject of linguistic studies yet.
